Overview
Sketch Music invites visitors to draw into an animated scene and explore the musical activity that develops. Lines, shapes and characters share a wide touchscreen, bringing mark-making, movement and sound into one experience.
Visitors can add a small contribution, watch the scene change and listen before making another choice. The format gives music galleries and family venues an approachable creative activity that begins with touching and drawing.

The Visitor Experience

- Add a line, shape or character to the shared world.
- Watch and listen as the scene responds.
- Change or extend the drawing and explore a different combination.
What Visitors Discover
Visitors investigate relationships between their visual choices and the resulting scene and sound. Comparing a simple line with a busier composition creates a reason to listen carefully, observe movement and make another change. The activity supports exploration without requiring a written score.

Who It’s For and Where It Fits
Designed for children aged 4–9, Sketch Music fits music galleries, children’s museums and family discovery centers. It provides a creative digital activity alongside acoustic instruments and physical sound exhibits. Three or more visitors can participate at the same time, depending on the exhibit size. Consider the surrounding sound environment so visitors can hear the result of their own contributions.
Exhibit Configurations and Customization
We combine two 55-inch industrial touchscreens in a freestanding cabinet. The reference configuration measures 2800 × 500 × 1250 mm (width × depth × height). Dimensions, materials and appearance are customizable to suit your venue. English, Spanish and Arabic are standard software languages, with additional languages available on request.
Space and Installation Requirements
- Allow clear access across the drawing surface and space for companions to watch.
- Plan audio levels and speaker placement alongside neighboring exhibits, especially in quieter venues.
- Provide power, protected cables, cabinet stability and service access. Final networking, ventilation and footprint depend on the selected hardware.
