Little Astronauts: Interactive Space Drawing Exhibit

An interactive space drawing exhibit filled with small explorers.

Overview

Little Astronauts turns a large touchscreen into a changing space playground. Visitors draw lines and shapes into the scene, then watch small astronaut characters move through the world they are helping create.

The shared display makes it easy to follow what is happening across the landscape. A new line can become part of a route, while colorful marks and animated visitors keep the scene active. The experience is built around playful exploration rather than a sequence of astronomy facts.

The Visitor Experience

  1. Touch the screen and add a line or shape to the space scene.
  2. Watch the small astronaut characters respond as they explore the landscape.
  3. Add another route or drawing and compare the result.
  4. Continue building the scene alongside nearby visitors.

What Visitors Discover

Visitors can explore how a drawn route changes movement and how one mark connects with another. Watching independent characters travel through the scene invites prediction and experimentation: where might they go next, and what happens if the path changes?

Who It’s For and Where It Fits

Little Astronauts is designed for children aged 4–9 in children’s museums, family discovery centers and playful space-themed areas. Visitors can make short contributions or spend time extending a scene. The wide format supports three or more simultaneous users, depending on the exhibit size.

Exhibit Configurations and Customization

We combine two 55-inch industrial touchscreens in a freestanding cabinet. The reference configuration measures 2800 × 500 × 1250 mm (width × depth × height), with the rounded surround shown in the reference design. Dimensions, materials and appearance are customizable to suit your venue.

Space and Installation Requirements

  • Provide clear space across the front so visitors can reach different parts of the screen without blocking circulation.
  • Avoid reflections across the wide display and keep nearby lighting comfortable for direct touch use.
  • Plan stable cabinet placement, power, protected cables and rear or internal service access. The final hardware determines networking, ventilation and exact footprint.

What’s Included

Our Little Astronauts experience brings together a shared space-drawing world and paired touch displays. We supply the exhibit PC, two industrial touchscreens and the cabinet. Your project proposal sets out the final configuration, installation and training scope, and any ongoing services. Every exhibit includes a one-year standard warranty.
